When I made my weekend, it was such a blessing. My husband, Alan had gone several weekends before me, and came home a changed, inspired man. I was excited, apprehensive, yet at peace that it was MY turn. And I have never been the same. I have a new perspective on my life; knowning what is the most important things to cling to, realizing that God is in charge of my life and everything happens for a reason, and the people he has place in my life because of VDC has supported me, loved me, and inspired me daily ever since.

I had been praying for some type of Christian renewal in my life. Then at a Deacons’ meeting at my church my sponsor was giving a devotional about GNVDC, and invited me to a weekend 26 right there during the meeting. Obviously, I said yes.

Over the course of the weekend I heard talks from men of all ages. Surprisingly, many topics directly paralleled things in my life. I no longer felt alone in my personal struggles, and learned how to get Jesus involved in my life – or better stated; I learned how to get my life involved in Jesus. This experience changed my life, and definitely for the better.
